| Adornment is a non-profit, sector-led organisation which focuses on capacity building, showcasing and representing the UK’s largest network of African-influenced cultural & creative small and micro businesses.
By ‘African-influenced’ we refer to skill, creativity and talent which references, utilises and innovates on African techniques, tradition and knowledge across a broad range of disciplines. |

Adornment London:
The largest expo for the Black cultural and creative sector in the UK providing a major platform, attracting industry leaders and extensive media coverage. Partner exhibitions take place in Paris and Amsterdam |
Adornment Entrepreneurs’ Network:
For Black owned cultural and creative enterprises working across the sector e.g. fashion design, craft, film, performing arts, business-to-business services such as advertising and lifestyle businesses such as hair, beauty and alternative health.
The network embraces emerging and establish entrepreneurs, is internationally focussed and home to predominantly women owned businesses. |
Adornment Creative Hub:
Developed in partnership with Brixton Artspace, we offer affordable workshop, rehearsal, performance, office and meeting space to range of cultural & creative enterprises and initiatives. This aspect of our work will expand in 2007 with the addition of two floors of workshop/office space. |
Adornment Training:
Our training and capacity building work focuses on the need for both sector specific and transferable skills & knowledge from entry to advanced levels.
Adornment piloted the first comprehensive course for Natural Hair Practitioners in the UK with support form the Learning and Skills Council in 2003 and is currently focussing on the development of high-level training for industry leaders. |
